  • She's definitely the best teacher I've had in college yet, maybe within the last ten years. She cares a lot about the engagement of the class and wants to make sure everyone's learning and involved even if its not their favorite subject, which I really value.

  • I feel liked I learned a lot and Dr. M's methods of teaching helped me to retain the information. I really appreciate that Dr. M puts in the effort and care to help students understand the course and succeed.

  • I retained a lot of information by the learning strategies and the professor did a really good job at teaching both online and in the classroom.

  • Everything the instructor did was extremely helpful, and I cannot think of a way to help the students learn more than we already learned.

  • Professor Mangelsdorf is a great teacher and cares a lot about what she is teaching and wants the students to learn as much as they can.

  • Great class and great professor. Should be promoted.

  • Dr. M is a fantastic, engaging and super enthusiastic educator.

  • I really enjoyed taking this course not only was the material interesting but it has also been beneficial to help improve different areas in my life. To be more specific I have seen both personal and educational growth because of my professor and the way her class was structured.

  • The aspects of this teacher’s teaching that contributed most to my learning were the use of real life examples when explaining more complicated concepts to make it easier to understand and the aspects that made the class more interactive and fun.

  • Dr. M is one of the most enthusiastic, passionate, approachable, and knowledgeable professors I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. She made each class engaging, interesting, relevant, and fun. I have never taken a psychology course before, but Dr. M made it easy to understand and extremely enjoyable. Thanks to her, I have a newfound appreciation for psychology and a new perspective on how I will approach my career with my psychological knowledge.

  • She was very active with all of her students, she wasn't boring like most instructors.

  • She used a lot of great examples and videos. She was also very interactive with the class and held our interest.

  • I liked how she is very hands-on and is expressive. She would always show us examples of what we were learning so we were able to understand the material better.

  • She was thorough in her teachings and also gave really good real life examples to relate to what we were learning which was extremely helpful.

  • She's very passionate about psychology and fostering an environment of learning! She clearly cares about all of her students and wants us to succeed. The grading style is different than most classes, but I like it. I can tell that she thought out every aspect of the course to ensure that students are truly learning and understanding the information as opposed to memorizing terms. She knows her stuff!

  • She was an amazing, caring and understanding teacher. She always made sure she let us know she was available if we needed us and never judged us for not knowing an answer. Her teaching methods were amazing. I really liked reading the textbook then coming to class the next day and talking about that, I felt this method made the information stick longer. She always makes sure we are learning is open to changing things to make sure we are learning to our best potential. During the semester, she made change on the worksheets and gave us more time to complete them. This personally really helped me because I wasn't able to fully read and understand the textbook when trying to rush to make sure they were complete and I felt that was a struggle and when she received feedback from us she changed it to her us. She is such an amazing teacher and I will definitely take her again. I am so thankful for her.

  • It was an amazing class to experience and I honestly appreciate my professor so much because I was going through a lot at home and she was very helpful in trying to reduce my stress as much as possible. Along with this I don't think there has ever been a day that I can recall where she has arrived to class in a low mood. She is always very cheerful and excited to teach us and the rest of her classes. Throughout the course I've learned to connect with what might be occurring in my life to specific terms in psychology which helps me feel as though I have a grip on my life a bit more. Overall, she's an outstanding professor and I would love to have her teach one of my classes again.

  • Professor showed up to class with a positive attitude every day and made learning about psychology fun. The way that she runs her class and grading is very effective.

  • This was a great course and the way that it was set up and ran was very enjoyable.

  • I really recommend taking this class. It was a very interesting course to learn a lot about mental health. Great class.

  • This teacher definitely loves her job and wants to be here. its rare to see that nowadays but she really does love teaching and it shows. she was very flexible and ALWAYS open to comments and concerns when things got difficult. this class was definitely a challenge in terms of the workload but I do think I genuinely learned a lot more than my other classes.

  • Dr M. is a very caring and helpful teacher who I am thankful for

  • Dr. M is an amazing professor!

  • One of the best professors I’ve had!! Not only is she great at what she does but she will be a friend who encourages you, gives advice, makes you laugh, and makes some delicious cookies!!

  • Professor Mangelsdorf is an excellent professor. Kudos to her!

  • You are a fantastic educator!!! I really appreciate the amount of enthusiasm and energy you teach with. I very much enjoyed class discussions, how organized the class schedule was, and I feel that I've learned a lot of really valuable lessons that are applicable to my life.

  •  I've always had strong intrinsic motivation but this class really pushed me to understand the value of learning without external rewards. For self-accountability, I grew. I struggle with burn out and being over classes or school in general but this semester I never felt that. Being able to do assignments at my pace and without the fear of failing made me more motivated in this course. For reflective ability I also grew, I didn't see this class as something I had to win at, I saw it as an opportunity to gain knowledge and to apply it to myself, others and my future.

  • This class was more about learning and not just passing, and I think that is the approach most classes need to take.

  • I certainly found intrinsic motivation and self-accountability to be more present in this course than in any others.

  • The respect, effort and enthusiasm that you have shown me and the class was a big source of motivation; I very much wanted to reciprocate the kindness shown by putting in effort into the course.

  • She was always so excited for every single class and it made me feel really present even if the course was just fully online.

  • Considering that this class was online it was very interactive and was one of the classes I looked forward to. This was a great class and I enjoyed it a lot.
