Student Evaluations for Cognitive Psychology (Summer 2017)

  • The professor does a great job in clarifying misunderstandings in course material. I like how she incorporates many examples throughout the lectures to keep us engaged and also it helps apply the material we are learning.
  • She is highly organized, skilled at emphasizing key concepts, and is willing help each student fully understand the material, even if they are novices in the field. The most useful component are the daily quizzes; I am someone who learns primarily through repetition.
  • Professor is knowledgeable.  She tries to change the different methods of learning (discussions, lecture, reviewing reading.
  • She's very approachable, making it easy for us to ask for clarifications. Daily review and discussions are really useful.
  • She was able to give great advice for studying and how to approach the material overall, especially to someone who has had no prior experience in cognitive psychology.
  • The instructor provided everything necessary and more, given the limited period of time to present the material.
  • She was always available when I had questions. Retrieval practice was excellent. The concrete examples used for each concept really helped me actually learn the information and remember.
  • I would very much recommend this course to future students. Even if one has no prior experience, the material and concepts are still made accessible and the intellectual benefits are many.
